How can I fall asleep? We just found our beloved cat dead 2 hours ago?

When my first dog passed away, about 2 years ago, I couldn't deal with life. She was my bestfriend, I still cry to this day. But it is what it is. It was really hard at first, but after a while, I learned to deal with it. I hardly talked to anyone afterwards, until about a month later. At my house, things felt so empty. We finally decided it was time for another dog, and she filled the emptiness. I'm crying now as I write this. I know how you feel, it's hard to go through. Today, I have two amazing dogs, and it just doesn't feel lonely anymore. No, no dog can ever replace her, and she will be dearly missed, but I had to move on.
