What should I do? Help!!.?

So I had a friend nd we had intimacy about 6 months ago nd he doesnt talk to me anymore :/ but im afraid of seeing him & im afraid of not knowing how to act around him or what to say I cant just act like nothing happened right.? But then I dont wanna reproach him nething because we agreed for this to happen (sexual encounters) but I guess what he ddnt understand was that I did it because I was emotionally connected w him not just physically. But idk.. What went wrong I thought if I was intimate with him he would like me and ask me to be his gf. It took me 3 years to make this desision nd be w him. Advice !! please... I might see him in church sence we both go there help...!
