Really confused about this guy...does he like me or not?

Its my senior yr & this guy is in my class. We dont talk muc: but once in awhile he'll still be at school when i'm waiting for my ride home (have my temps) & offers me a ride. 2 yrs ago a good friend of mine who is also friends w/him told me he likes me but was nervous to ask me out. He asked me to see a movie last week (said sometime this week) & hasnt said anything to me since then.he also said something about his friends maybe coming along. I have no idea if its a date,just as friends or what. Do you think he'l call tomorrow or over the weekrend? He asked for my #. Btw i deleted him off facebk when i was deleting ppl i ddnt talk to & he added me again. I'm so confused! I dont wanna get my hope up for nothing. My friend also said he ignores her around "popular" ppl, so that kinda makes me wonder. He's giving me mixed signals & that confuses me.
