Should i help a friend pay for a ticket?

so i was stuck by myself at a party. and i told my bf to pick me up cause i was by myself and i needed a ride. they thought i was in danger even though i ddnt say i was i just told them to hurry. i mean if i was in real danger i wouldve told them someone was following me or "HELP!" u know? he ran a stop sign for rushing and got a ticket. and now he expects me and my bf to pay for it. it would be different if he kindly asked but hes being a dick.
